At Blairgowrie Swim Academy, we believe your swimmers deserve to be in the best hands at all times, which is why our instructors go through an extensive recruitment process and a comprehensive training period. In addition, we always try to keep our classes small and provide a maximum number of instructors.
We have a maximum of 4 children per teacher in our classes, so we can give constant attention to their needs and encourage them along the way. This in turn builds their confidence. They also learn through watching other learners and love to compete with their new friends.
All our instructors /coaches have years of experience and attend upgrade courses, accreditation and yearly registrations to constantly expand our knowledge in the swimming curriculums. Teaching swimming is our passion!

Our indoor, heated pools maintain a constant 32-degree temperature year-round, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment, especially for babies. With regular testing by reputable laboratories, our chlorine pools provide the most reliable and hygienic conditions. Our facilities include a deeper pool for diving and a shallow square pool perfect for beginners of all ages.
Parents can relax in our shaded patio area, enjoying refreshments while watching their children progress through our transparent teaching methods. Located in Randburg, our swim school is accredited by the Swim South Africa Association, offering a central and convenient location with safe, on-premises parking.

We have been most fortunate to be part of the Blairgowrie Swim Academy since 2011. It has been a wonderful experience in terms of the swimming and the administration of the Academy.
I took my son to Laurel in 2011 at the age of 3.5 years and he could barely swim, despite swimming lessons for an 18 month period prior to Laurel. Within one week he was swimming beautifully and has improved so much in such a quick period of time.
The stroke correction has been wonderful and the one-on-one personal touch is just a formula to success.
It has been an unbelievable experience with the water temperature always being maintained. The facilities are impeccable and are always clean, neat and tidy.

Perfect for parents who want to teach their babies what to do if falling into a pool. Our son is still there at four years old having started from when he couldn’t even talk or crawl. Heated pool, great coaches. Well worth it.
Swimming is a great sport that my son enjoys doing. He exercises while having fun in the water. It is also a life skill that I always wanted my child to have, and now I feel safer near water knowing that he can swim. It has been a tremendous pleasure to have you teach my child whether it was to teach him to swim, perfect a stroke or learn a new one.
I have been impressed with the organization of how the swim school has been run, scheduling & availability of teachers, the cleanliness and the demeanor of the teachers.
The facility at Blairgowrie Swimming Academy is first class, heated all year round, under cover with separate changing facilities with very talented and qualified teachers.
